The Community Integration activities focus on consumers learning to use community resources. The goal of this program is to help each individual become an active and valued member of the community. The consumers involved in these activities spend time enjoying and learning about their communities by using community resources such as the library, YMCA, local museums and other points of interest.
While enjoying these opportunities, the program also assists the individuals in giving back to the community by actively participating in volunteer activities with organizations including Meals on Wheels and animal shelters. |
