SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAMS

Teams comprised of nurses and occupational, physical and speech therapists implement habilitative programs designed to increase range of motion, reduce muscle atrophy, increase cognitive awareness, provide muscular stimulation and address swallowing and communication issues. In order for the Special Needs Program to provide appropriate services, therapeutic devices such a supine stander, therapy wings, electronic communication devices and special adaptive equipment are utilized in the day-to-day activities. Additional devices are used to increase cognitive awareness and provide muscular stimulation.
