As part of the recycling agreement with Burlington County, the O.T.C. recycles bulky materials at the County’s Resource Recovery Complex located in Mansfield Township, N.J. This contract provides work for seven individuals with disabilities and includes a variety of different positions such as: litter abatement, load inspector and heavy machine operator.
The Bulk Materials program recycles tires, scrap metal, Freon recovery and wood waste. Recently the county expanded the recycling agreement to include carpeting and drywall and in 2009 the program recycled a total of 3.1 million pounds of bulk materials. |
