O.T.C. is also responsible for collecting recyclables at two large military bases in S. Jersey, McGuire AFB and Ft. Dix Military Installation. The recycling facility is located on McGuire AFB and processes paper, food and beverage containers, scrape metal, fluorescent lighting tubes and tires. In 2009, the O.T.C. collected approximately 1,372 tons of recyclables from offices on the military installations as well from housing units.
The military recycling operation provides work for four adults with disabilities. The positions include; collecting recyclable, separate recyclables and operate baling machines. |
