Burlington County
The O.T.C. is contracted by the Burlington County Freeholders to collect and process recyclables from all 40 municipalities in the county. Each day a fleet of 27 recycling trucks collect approximately 175 tons of recyclables which includes paper, glass, plastic and metal containers from approximately 161,000 households including single-family and multi-family dwellings throughout the county.
HOW TO RECYCLE!
In addition to providing jobs for individuals with disabilities, the County Recycling program is one of the most efficient recycling services in the state of New Jersey. In 2010, the O.T.C. provided this service to Burlington County at an annual cost of only $22 per household while diverting over 101.9 million pounds of materials from local landfills.
State of New Jersey
