The O.T.C. expanded its job training diversity when it was awarded a contract for Clerical Support Services at the General Service Administration's (GSA) Northeast Distribution Center. The contract provides work for six adults with disabilities who are responsible for a wide range of tasks including; preparing bills of lading and bills of labeling for freight, data entry, filing and general clerical duties.
The work is fairly fast paced and the responsibilities for these positions necessitate that all six individuals are high functioning with good skills in a number of computer programs including Work, Excel and Outlook. Although the O.T.C. provides transportation for 95 percent of the individuals in its various programs, all of the individuals who work at the GSA are self-transporting.
