Job Skills Training
Adults with disabilities have a wide range of vocations they can pursue, depending on their skill-sets. We are dedicated to helping individuals not only assess their areas of greatest skill but also develop new skills needed for positions in the private sector. Through our Supported Employment program, our Employment Specialists evaluate work history, interests, skills, and disability, and train individuals for the job best suited to their expertise. Additionally, we train individuals in everyday necessities, like taking public transportation, to guide them toward becoming self-sufficient and successful community members.
Types of Jobs
Once skills have been developed and areas of interest have been pinpointed, it’s time to apply for a position! Depending on current openings and individual abilities, common job placements include the following:
- Crew labor
- Food services
- Custodial maintenance
- Recycling operations
- Residential services
- Community Access Center
