The contingency cook works alongside the Military and OTC staff in day-to-day operations of the Food Services Division at the Halverson Dining Hall, on JBMDL. Responsibilities include serving, replenishing, prepping, handling and cleaning of food, as well as cleaning facility and equipment. Applicant must be capable of handling all equipment, appliances, small wares, supplies and tools with demonstrated competency. Compliance with all Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and state food codes along with food production records is crucial. Perform other assigned duties related to regulations outlined in contract statement of work. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and communicate all pertinent information to Shift Leaders and OTC Supervisors.
The OTC of Burlington County has an immediate opening for individuals to work in its food service operations at McGuire AFB. Perform a variety of tasks involved in the preparation and serving of food and beverages. Prepares dining and serving areas by setting up tables and counters. Reconciles cash drawer at the start and end of shift. Required to accurately handle monetary and meal card transactions for military and civilian personnel quickly and efficiently. This is a full-time position with the days and hours varying including Saturday and Sunday.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Gather and empty trash. Responsible for servicing, cleaning, and supplying restrooms, lavatories, and showers. Dust furniture or fixtures, walls, machines, equipment, and polish metal fixtures and trimmings. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Maintain accountability of assigned supplies and equipment utilizing them in accordance with the manufacturer guidelines and per supervisors instructions. Follow cleaning schedules and complete assigned work in a timely fashion and to acceptable quality standards.
