Throughout the month of October, we will be recognizing individuals throughout our programs as part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Today we are celebrating Kyle Banff, who was given an opportunity and took it as a chance to grow.
Wearing multiple hats, Kyle performs as a front desk clerk and boiler operator at the Burlington County Human Services building. Between greeting clients, checking people in, and providing directions, Kyle monitors the building’s boiler systems.
About a year after working at the OTC, Kyle was given the opportunity to become a certified boiler operator. While performing his day job, Kyle also took classes and studied to obtain his black seal boiler operator certification. “It really is not that hard, just studied and took the test,” Banff humbly speaks of his accomplishments.
When he is not working at the OTC, Kyle can be found riding his John Deere tractor, putting in even more hours on his family’s blueberry farm.
